Sweet baby Emmett was born on his due date, January 21 at 4:14am weighing 7lbs 1oz to the sweetest couple. Katrina decided on a birthing center for her labor and delivery, which meant she was home with her sweet boy just later that same day. I know that I couldn't do that - I am too into modern medicine (wanting, well needing the epidural!) Katrina gave birth naturally! What a trooper!! I told you about Katrina and Hector a short time ago, when I took their maternity photos. And I was right, they are FAB parents already!
Katrina's mom, Fran, is in town and was blessed to be at Emmett's birth. She lives in Michigan where they have real winters (not like our crazy "ice days" we've had lately.) Her dad will be coming in a few weeks as well to meet his first grandbaby! I am so glad her parents are able to visit her during this special time. In a few months they'll visit Hector's family in the valley, but send photos to them (and his family in Michigan) each day. Fran made both of the afghan's I used in his photos and his blue hat. I joked that I need her to make me some props....but I was actually serious! Fran I will be calling you about some afghans and hats!!! lol I just love this generation shot we got with their sweet hands! I wish we had done one with my grandma, mom, me and Trevor before she passed.
Sweet Emmett - Welcome to this world and our crazy clan of friendship! You (and Avery) already have some great Aunties wanting to spoil you both rotten!!! We love you like our own and will do anything to help your momma or you any time you need it!
Katrina and Hector - you have a beautiful bundle of joy here! I know you will be fabulous parents. Just remember that yes, it's hard; yes it's emotional, but yes, it's all worth it! I can't wait to watch him grow!
